Asmazlar şehir evi, interior with pool

The Asmazlar şehir (town) evi (house) is located in the Haci Halil mahalla on Beybaği sokak. This is a smaller dwelling adjacent to the Asmazlar şehir konaği (mansion) that has been taken over as a hotel for touring visitors. The havuz odasi (pool room) occurs on an upper level and the pool's presence provides a cool and slightly more humid environment. The pool is approximately 3 meters (9 feet) deep and is formed by large slabs of granite the form the bottom and side walls. The floor around the pool is also made using stone slabs. (photo 1994)
