Kıbrıslı Mehmet Emin Paşa Yalısı
Pasha Mehmet, of Cyprus, seaside mansion
Kandilli, Üsküdar, Turkey
The largest remaining 18th century wooden yalı (1780), this structure is 60 meters long. Acquired in 1840 by a former grand vizier, it is located on the Asian shore in Andalou Hisarı. Four corner rooms frame a central salon in the two-story, central portion of the building. Mehmed Emin expanded the yalı, which is still owned by his descendants.
