Zidanica from roadway
Kozje, Slovenia
This view shows the structure's base level that is constructed of stone with a cementitious coating on the exterior. The interior serves as a wine cellar and root cellar to keep produce cool. There is a entrance to the base level that is hidden by the plantings next to the roadway. Laundry is hung within the main level along walkway that occurs within the wooden railing. Wooden boughs are placed vertically between the base of the railing and the eaves to support climbing plants along the outside of the structure. (photo 1988)
