Dolenjci 23, end elevation
Dolenjci, Slovenia
The grey-coat material at the base appears cementitious and serves to protect the larger timber beams that form the base of the entire dwelling. The projecting upper floor and roof provide weather protection as well. The purlins that support the roof reveal the underside of the roofing. The roofing materials are often fabricated into panels prior to attachment to the supporting purlin structure. The center of the upper floor wall contains a door between the windows.
