Gostinica brvnara, Čardak from southwest
Lazac, Serbia
The uphill side of this čardak is fully enclosed in horizontal plank construction. The best views overlook the farmyard and grove of plum trees, and the valley below, while the enclosed side is protected from potential bandits in the hills above, a threat in earlier times, when these structures served as lookouts.
