This house can be accessed at all levels, including from the street beside its top floor. Its informal composition is common; houses were built to adjust to irregular sites and street patterns while forming regular interior rooms with optimal orientation. A horizontal wooden band joins the tops of the top-floor windows, and a single hipped roof unites the disparate design.
