House projections over
Ulica Samoilova
Ohrid, Macedonia
The Robeva house and Uranja House face each other on opposite sides of Samoilova Street, and their projecting bays nearly cover the street space. The plaster-covered brackets supporting the bays of the Robeva house are seen from below. The principal cornice of the Robeva House exhibit ogee-like reversing curves (cyma recta or ovolo and cavetto profiles) to meet the roof edges while the upper molded soffits (cornices) take on simpler curved profiles (cavetto profile).
