Robeva House
Kuќata na Robevci
Ohrid, Macedonia
The Robev brothers, wealthy merchants, rebuilt their family residence on Samoilova Street in 1864, after a fire destroyed their earlier one. The builder was Todor Petkov from Gari. This grand double house is nearly symmetrical and rises to four stories, with projecting bays on the two upper floors that tower over the street. Grand reception spaces on the top floors face south and overlook the lake. The residence has been a cultural monument and museum since World War II.
