Konak of Markov Manastir

The konaks at Marko's Monastery meet in a corner, their open galleries (chardaks) connecting the various floor levels. At the top floor a minsofa (sitting platform) projects outward, supported on wooden braces and articulated with a wood-framed roof gable. It provides a special place to overlook the church and churchyard activities.
