Janče, Macedonia
The Radika River of Western Macedonia forms a deep gorge between mountains to both east and west, and the villages along this route are set against steep slopes. Janče is one of these, sited to face southwest above flelds that descend to the river. Wooden barns are located near the fields, with the houses above. (photo 1988)
