Šejh Emina Tekija
entry from courtyard
Đakovica (Gjakova), Kosovo
The tekija lodge is similar to residential architecture of the Ottoman era in Kosovo, a two-storey building of masonry ground level construction and timber frame-and-infill above. The upper (principal) floor projects slightly, supported on wooden joists. A row of windows is joined by wood banding, with upper and lower wood shutters. The walled courtyard is paved in small stones.
