Village street
Psarades, Greece
While many residents have left the village and deserted their homes, others remain, keeping their old houses or building new ones. This view shows both deserted structures and one well-maintained house, with freshly pointed stonework and newer clay tiled roof. All the houses are built of stone with reinforcing lattices of timber. A resident cow strolls the narrow village roadway. (photo 2004)
