Traditional Wooden Granary, Ambar

This side elevation of the previously shown granary offers a clear view of its masonry foundation and wooden construction. The diagonal members stablize the structure while strengthening the chambers that hold the grain. The chamber walls are constructed using integral posts to reinforce the horizontal members and reduce the spans of the horizontal planks that form the majority of the side wall. (photo 1988)
