200 year old dwelling, rear view
Gušče, Croatia
The rear of the house had a recently added chicken coop. One can see the extent of the gallery space that lines the eastern side of the house. The organization of the house includes one corridor along the east side with the living space toward the river, the kitchen area next, then a sleeping room, access to the toilet, then another sleeping room. In smaller houses, the toilet element is usually in the most rear position. (photo 1988)
