This view from the fountain at a corner bay of the church porch looks toward the Dupnitsa Gate. Above the gate, offset by one bay, is an elaborate projecting wooden balcony that spans three levels: supporting brackets at level two, then a rectangular balcony at level three, from which vertical posts support the rounded form of the top floor porch. The top-level porch has a raised sitting platform with six perimeter posts supporting a decorative falsework arcade and rounded roof overhang. (photo 2000)
