Rilski manastir (Rila monastery), gallery rails, walls, and ceiling details

Within the generous top-level konak gallery it is possible to observe the details of wood construction, repetitive posts with formed bolsters, railings with shaped balusters, and plank ceilings with linear battens. A large porch, raised one step above the gallery, overlooks the courtyard. On the opposite side of the gallery, windows and doors, trimmed with a continuous head rail, open to the interior monk's cells and other spaces.
