Large corner fireplaces are typical of the region around the important town of Tryavna, and this fine example shows cooking utensils and adjacent sitting accommodations (cushions, a low stool) around the hearth. A handsome arched wooden hood frames the chimney opening and wood panelling is used on adjacent walls and the ceiling.
