Farm 1 Outbuilding (Ambar & Kotobanja) from court
Vračev Gaj, Vojvodina
Vračev Gaj is a small town in the municipality of Bela Crkva in the Banat region close to the Romanian border where the Nera River meets the Danube. The village has the typical regional layout of closely placed narrow farmhouses with shared walls along the street edge. This farm has an open forecourt with a projecting elevated ambar (granary) on the left and a kotobanja or koš (corn crib) and gateway parallel with the street. Over the gateway is the date 1935 and the initials MM & JM. (photo 1988)
