Savić Dwelling sketches

These drawings were developed from measured drawings provided by the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments in Novi Sad. The entry along the side of the dwelling is typical for the houses in this region. The 'kuhinja' (kitchen and hearth) originally had small connections to each of the 'soba' (rooms) to supply embers for small stoves in these rooms. The kuhinja is formed with its own soft brick vaulted structure to keep the heat from the wooden ceiling and thatched roof structure.
