Ambar & Kotobanja Pazovačka 42, detail view
Golubinci, Vojvodina
The projecting balcony platform sits below the level of the gallery that runs in front of the kotobanja enclosure for the corn (kukuruzni) on the cob. Diagonal lattices are typically used to form the kotobanja to allow the corn to dry properly. A series of alternating transom designs are used in the gallery openings. Many of the decorative wooden frames within the openings have been destoryed. The ambar structures are typically formed using closely spaced columns with short horizontal tongue and grooved planks to enclose the structure and protect the bags of grain and flour within.
