Garoyan Köşkü (Garoyan mansion), 10 Mehmetçik Sokak & Kanarya Sokak
Princes' Islands, Büyükada, Turkey
Built in 1885, the Garoyan mansion was destroyed and reconstructed by architect Nikola Nikolaidis, using concrete with a wooden façade. The symmetrical building has two living floors above a basement; the upper floor projects outward toward the street with a central, recessed balcony with fanciful brackets and decorative pediment above.
