Çardak Dwelling 4,
Garden District
Ibradı, Turkey
This summerhouse has a covered and raised uncovered çardak component. The çardak does not appear to have built-in seating but does have the large uncovered area for possible use as a fruit and vegetable drying area. The lower portion of the çardak wall is constructed with abutting planks while the upper portion has spacing to allow views and ventilation. The reinforced stone walls of the dwelling are in strong contrast to the openness of the çardak.
