Farmhouse Loft Access
Studor, Slovenia
This view of the farmhouse reveals the earth access ramp to the loft area where hay, grains, and corn can be stored. The open structure with wooden rails is used to dry hay and corn in this area. The mountainous landscape experiences frequent rains in the warmer months and snow in the winter months. The tightly formed village frees up the more level areas for planting and harvesting.
