Wooden Chapel in landscape

The wooden chapel constructed in the late 18th or 19th century is located in the village of Kućani in the Zlatibor region near the town of Nova Varoš. The Chapel was dedicated to the Ascension of Christ. The walls are forming using interlocking timber and the roof is constructed using pine planks. Restoration did occur in the 1960s and the chapel was commonly used for weddings in the 1980s. The chapel is reached by foot through a number of adjoining pastures.
