Gospodar Vasin Konak (Lord of Vasa's residence)

Kraljevo is a town on the Western Morava River in south central Serbia. The Konak of Gospodar Vasin was constructed as a residence between 1826-30 for important Serbian leaders. The ground level was constructed of stone and masonry and the upper level constructed of timber with various types of infill. The large porch (doksat or čardak) faces east and originally overlooked a courtyard. Numerous renovations and restorations have occurred; currently it serves as a museum.
