Casa Goicea
Oltenia, Dolj county
Goicea, Romania
This 19th century house was relocated from the town of Goicea to the Village Museum in Bucharest. The walls are built of whitewashed masonry, and the hipped roof is clad with clay tiles. A recessed gallery (prispă) with wooden posts and rail runs the length of the main façade, and includes a raised sitting platform (cerdac or foişor) over the cellar entrance.
