Casa Stăneşti
Muntenia, Argeş county
Stăneşti, Romania
This two-story, 19th century house has been relocated to the open-air Village Museum in Bucharest. Construction is of stone masonry, exposed for the cellar and plastered/limewashed for the main living floor, and hipped roof clad with fir shingles. A porch spans the façade, covered by the main roof, which flares out slightly above the area where the largest opening (doorway) occurs in the enclosing wall.
