Traditional farm complex in landscape
Vuča, Montenegro
Vuča is a mountain village at the southern edge of the border between Montenegro and Serbia. In this remote region people retained traditional farms, including buildings, as seen in this photograph. These two-storey houses are a variant of the Dinaric type, nearly square and built of masonry at ground level and wood above. A smaller wooden outbuilding has a stone foundation. The open highlands landscape is best suited to grazing.
