Konaci south facing gallery, Manastir Sveta Trojica
Pljevlja, Montenegro
This view is taken at the angle between the western and northern konaks, within the second level gallery that connects them. The gallery edge is formed with a long seat, which projects outward and is tied to the main structure by cross members at alternating vertical posts. The arcaded effect of the gallery is heightened by insertion of ogival-shaped, carved wooden panels set between the gallery posts to form the ogee arched openings.
