Woven wood (wattle) and straw structure
Gornja Briska, Montenegro
Possibly used as a poultry shelter, and perhaps a former corncrib, this basket-like cylindrical structure exhibits construction techniques typical for various farmyard functions. Perimeter poles support an inner ring of smaller poles interwoven with branches to form a breathable enclosure. Other light poles form the conical roof, formerly fully thatched with straw.
