Kuќata na Vasil Glavinov,
view from street
Veles, Macedonia
The dwelling is entered from the tall street wall to a courtyard. The wooden elements (kušaći) in the wall serve to level coursing and reinforce the wall. The ground level holds a carpenter's workshop and two winter living rooms. Stairs lead to two upper levels with additional čardak spaces. The intermediate level contains a čardak, a kitchen, guest living room, and two additional living rooms. The uppermost level has a čardak, and living rooms. The house is now a museum to honor Vasil Glavinov, a carpenter, who became a prominent leader in Macedonia.
