Kuќata na Jordan Hadži Konstantinov-Džinot, view from the street
Veles, Macedonia
The open raised sitting space (minsofa) projects beyond the dwelling wall and over an alley. One enters the house through doors to a courtyard (dvor) and onto a porch (trem) or into a summer kitchen and storage rooms. From the trem one can enter into a winter living room or climb the stairs to the open čardak above. The čardak gives access to living rooms for the family and guests as well as terminating in the minsofa. The house was the residence of a famous educator and revivalist.
