Houses similar in type to the previous example rise above the village access road, and are reached by steep paths. The masonry lower levels and white-rendered living floors are visible, as are variations in siting and size. Wooden structures for drying and storing hay are below the houses, closer to the fields. These village children would today be middle-aged adults. (photo 1988)
