Deteriorating Compound with granary (ambar)
Orahovac (Rahovec), Kosovo
Construction of a new house affected parts of the site's former enclosing wall, now neglected, but the wall shows traditional features. Its masonry construction was stablilzed with horizontal wood banding, and a wood-framed granary or corncrib is embedded in the wall. A former gateway appears to remain at the right, and another roofed structure occurs to the left of the crib, perhaps a storage space.
