Period revival building on Akropoleos street
Thessaloniki, Greece
This building contains many of the formal elements of the traditional architecture of the upper city, although the plaster and bracketwork seem to indicate that contemporary methods of construction are concealed under the plasterwork. The use of wooden windows and traditional roof forms and materials indicate that the building design was meant to respect the more traditional urban fabric of the area. The sign over the door indicates that the building houses a municipal department.
