Rusi Čorbadži house, courtyard view
Žeravna, Bulgaria
The Rusi Čorbadži house, constructed in the late 18th or early 19th century, is currently a museum with its various spaces containing period settings. Set in a walled garden, the dwelling is entered onto its raised level through a čardak that is substantially enclosed. The timber walls with plank walls and interlocking framing are topped with broadly overhanging roof eaves that receive support from wooden brackets.
