Once in the čardak of the house, one faces the sofa (a raised sitting platform) the principal focus within the space. The sofa is formed with sets of shutters to adapt to the climate and privacy needs and desires.The carpet and cushions add to the inviting nature of the sofa. The cabinetry and detailing of the columns, brackets, ceiling and windows all reinforce the composition of the čardak.
