Popangelova kăšta
Popangelov house (Priest Angel's house)
Tryavna, Bulgaria
Tryavna is located in the Balkan Mountain range in central Bulgaria. It was settled as early as the Thracian era but the earliest documents mentioning the town are from the 12th century. Tryavna is known for its traditional weaving crafts and woodworking. The Popangelov house, the oldest in the muncipality, was constructed in the mid 18th century with masonry ground level walls and timber framing with infill on the upper level walls and wooden floors and railings. The house now serves as a museum.
