Gloženski manastir (Glozhene monastery)

The monastery is sited at the edge the deep Cherni Vit river valley, and the drama of its remote location explains the exposure to severe weather conditions and its apparent ill-maintained condition. The living floors of the konak, cocnstructed in wood, rise above the stone foundations that rest upon the stony precipice.
