Wooden Mills on the Una River
Otoka, Bosnia
The Una River is a tributary to the Sava River that flows from the coastal karst mountains bordering the Adriatic northeast to join the Sava River. Parts of the river are designated as National Parks in both Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina where it forms a natural border between Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina. In the Otoka region it forms a border between the two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina (the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska). The river is swift and provides power to the many small flour mills along its length.
