Kuća Ive Duspera with čardak
Kraljeva Sutjeska, Bosnia
Kraljevska Sutjeska is a village with medieval origins, in the Bosna river valley northeast of Sarajevo. The house of Ivo Dusper is one of the region's few remaining old buildings, dating from the early 19th century. Built of stone, wood and adobe (ćerpič), and formed as a two-storey Dinaric-type dwelling, this house is distinguished by its wooden porches: an open gallery on the main living floor, and a projecting veranda (čardak) in the attic. The wooden detailing of the porches includes arches between the posts. Restorations occurred in the early 2000s.
