Kuća Nurija Pozderca, Konak
Cazin, Bosnia
This konak was constructed in the early 19th century for Ahmet Aga Pozderac who was an Ottoman Bey for the region. The cellar and exterior of the ground level were constructed using stone with a cementitious lime plaster. The upper level was constructed using timber frame with infill and lime plaster surfaces. The dwelling has been through numerous renovations. The upper level contains corner rooms called čardaci (chardaks), and separated living spaces for family or guests.(photo 1988)
