Banesa e Skëndulajve
House of Skenduli family
Gjirokastër, Albania
Also located in the Palorto Quarter, this two-tower residence was built in 1823 for another wealthy family. Its three floors were built primarily of masonry, with wood reserved for internal construction and decorative purposes. The top floor rooms are used for ceremonial activities, and the double-arcaded divan of the central bay for open-air gatherings. The house is still owned by the Skenduli family, who are working to preserve and maintain it.
