Farm Outbuilding (Gateway & Kotobanja)
Banatska Palanka, Vojvodina
Banatska Palanka is in the Banat district of Vojvodina close to the Romanian border where the Nera River enters the Danube. This deteriorating structure reveals the elements of the brick and cement plaster lower level and wooden structure above. The wooden lathwork of the kotobanja (or koš) behind the upper level gallery allows one to view the overgrown landscape behind the structure. Little of the gate remains and it appears that the clay tile roofing has been taken for reuse at another locations.
