Dwelling with çardak
Üzümdere, Turkey
This wood and stone dwelling in the village of Üzümdere is mostly hidden by surrounding greenery and outbuildings. A çardak platform pole-framed grape arbor rises above the sloped house roof to provide its occupants a view across the village road toward the valley beyond and a view to their terraced gardens above.
