Collapsing wooden house
Zeyrek, Istanbul, Turkey
While the Zeyrek neighborhood survived the fires of early 20th century Istanbul, most of the old houses have fallen to disrepair and collapse over time, as original owners depart and newcomers lack resources or rights to intervene. Aspects of wood construction and glimpses into internal volumes can be observed in this collapsing dwelling.
