Traditional Farmhouse
Grljan, Serbia
North of village of Vratarnica, close to the larger town of Grljan, are fields and pastures that still contain small single story dwellings constructed using bondruk.
This dwelling contains a protecting porch element that is made of wood frame with walls infilled with wattle and daub and the characteristic arched openings. The planted fields and haystacks show that work still occurs and the simple structure has some continuing use.
