Traditional farm
Vrela, Montenegro
This small farmstead, in a village east of the Durmitor mountains, consists of a house and single outbuilding sited on a grassy slope amidst fruit trees, below an evergreen forest. The house is the Dinaric type of this region, with masonry foundation and walls of horizontal log construction, with a steep hipped roof. The sloped site allows for an accessible cellar space below the living floor.
