Traditional wooden dwelling
Njegovuđa, Montenegro
Njegovuđa is a tiny village in the municipality of Žabljak, near northern Montenegro's Durmitor mountains. This building combines a living level at grade with a large storage loft. The wall construction is of squared horizontal timbers, with dovetail joints at the corners. Long wooden planks enclose the half-hipped roof and attic walls. The building appeared abandoned at the time of our visit.
