Landscape with farm settlement
Mljetičak, Montenegro
Mljetičak is a small village in the municipality of Šavnik in central Montenegro. It has an important history as a site where Ottoman-Serbian conflicts occurred in the 1840s. The mountain in the background is Bobotov Kuk of the Durmitor range to the northeast. The dwellings and outbuildings are constructed of stone and wood; many of the oldest surviving structures have straw roofs.
